Class Description
Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for admission to Symbiosis institutes. SET exam is a gateway for admissions to undergraduate courses such as Management, Law, Engineering, Economics, Design, Mass Communication, Computer Studies, Liberal Arts and Culinary.
SET exam has four sections which are- General English, Quantitative Section, Logical Reasoning and General Knowledge section.
Qualifying Exam: Passed 10+2 (in any stream) or equivalent or 10+3 diploma from a recognized university. Minimum Marks: Pass the above exam with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Candidates who are appearing 12th or last year diploma examination are also eligible to apply.
While UGC NET qualified candidates can apply to any college or institute outside the state. The UGC NET Exam is organised twice a year while the SET Exam is held only once in a year. So, these are the two major differences which should be known by every aspirant who wishes to become a Lecturer.
SET 2020 is the mandatory exam for BBA 2020-23 admission in all the Symbiosis institutes as they accept only SET exam score. Conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune, SET full form is Symbiosis Entrance Test for admission to various undergraduate courses at Symbiosis colleges.
